Long before I was a photographer or a travel advisor, I was a little girl in the back seat of a car heading west every summer with my family — and those mountains changed me in ways I am still discovering. There is nothing like the mountains. Nothing like the way they make everything else fall away and remind you of what is real and true and beautiful. Montana captures that feeling better than almost anywhere on earth — the wildness of Glacier, the stillness of a mountain lake at dawn, the big open sky that seems to go on forever.
